Black-lacquered wood travel writing case decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays in the shape of Greek crosses and brass inlays in the shape of quatrefoils, opening to a flap revealing a crimson velvet-covered tray and compartments, two of which are for stamps, and at the top a pen tray with two glass inkwells. Napoleon III period, in the TAHAN taste. 11x34x25.5cm. The pen tray is missing a frétel, and there are minor accidents and wear.
