Shako mod 1813 de Garde d'honneur. The body of the shako is made of cardboard covered with scarlet cloth. It is covered by a very strong black waxed leather cap. A white cotton braid is sewn into the top. A leather bourdalou is sewn to the bottom of the felt. A patent leather visor, embossed with a molded border, is attached to the front of the shako by a brass snap ring. Silver-plated plaque depicting a crowned imperial eagle holding in its talons the spindle of Jupiter on a base with the number "3" cut out in the center, framed by two lion heads with branches of foliage, in two parts. Embossed leather cockade in the tricolor colors.
On the top of the upper braid, 3 silver-plated five-pointed stars are attached, with a suspension hook welded in the center for attaching the snowshoe cord. Restored, partly 19th-century headdress, perhaps for an early re-enactment or commemoration.
