Model 1855 infantry officer's saber. Brass mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, fillet joint arch, openwork top decorated with flowers, drop-shaped quillon. Horn spindle (fels, watermark missing). Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter signed "M.F Châtellerault". Iron scabbard with two bracelets. Heavy oxidation to scabbard. Total length: 91 cm. France, Contemporary Paris Commune period.
