Officer's saber from the Vincennes chasseurs. Chased and gil - Lot 127
Officer's saber from the Vincennes chasseurs. Chased and gilded bronze mounting. Oval cap with long tail decorated with features and laurel wreath. Joint bow pierced for the lanyard to pass through, from which two branches form the shell decorated with a laurel wreath on a background of four pennants. Scrolled quillon decorated with a star. Watermarked horn spindle. Slightly curved snap-action blade, remains of markings (oxidation). Iron scabbard with two bracelets, orange peel. Total length 91.5 cm. France, Second Empire period.
