AN XI model light cavalry officer's saber. Chased brass hunter-style mounting with scale decoration. Oval cap with long tail joined to the hilt. Flat joint bow with two secondary branches, almond-shaped cruise with floral decoration and drop-shaped quillon. Wooden spindle covered with brass filigree basane. Curved blade with groove and counter-edge. Steel scabbard with two wide brass bracelets and suspension rings. Total length: 97.5 cm France, Empire period.
