CHINA, Ming period, 17th century Small gilt bronze and polychrome cloisonné enamel vase on blue ground, with long neck and low hexagonal body, decorated with stylized auspicious characters and floral foliage. (Worn gilding, small accidents and missing parts). H. 9.7 cm Provenance: brought back from Japan by Intendant-General Chayrou de Lacombe in the early 20th century, and by descent. Appraisal: Cabinet Ansas, Papillon de Léry, Paris.
