Edouard DETAILLE. (1848-1912). Collection of sketches and drawings of 19th-century French military figures. Mainly in ink and pencil, but also in watercolor, about 25 in number, some double-sided in various formats, mostly pasted on loose sheets. On the title page, a letter from Edouard Detaille to "Mon cher monsieur Mène (probablement le sculpteur Pierre-Jules MENE (1810-1879) voici le bout d'album de croquis..." and an invitation card with envelope, glued to the back cover. Format 28x36 cm, in full beige cloth binding.
