WEDGWOOD. Lidded butter dish in plain jasperware tinted blue (Portland blue), decorated with mythological scenes including a procession of female figures sometimes carrying a bouquet of flowers, sometimes an urn; and an offering scene with an Athenian woman. The handle is decorated with acanthus leaves. Wedgwood" and "Made in England" engraved on the reverse. The silver-plated metal frame, decorated with a frieze of geometric motifs, rests on four ball feet. Marked EPNS on reverse. 20th century (Dim.: 14.5 x 16.5 x 21.5 cm) (slight chips on reverse of lid)
