SIRAUDIN in PARIS. Jewelry box in metal and gilded metal, the boxed body decorated with leaves and flowers in wood carved in relief, uprights in rows of pearls, resting on ball feet. Interior lined with purple cotton velvet. 14x25x14cm. Signed on the clasp. Signed Moreau under the base. Wear, key missing, clasp to be revised. Comment: This box probably comes from the house set up by Pierre Paul Désiré SIRAUDIN (1812-1883), a playwright and librettist whose other passion was commerce, a passion he realized by opening a store at 17 rue de la paix under the evocative sign "du Vaudevilliste infidèle".
