Mathieu BEFORT (1816-c.1880), in the taste of. Buffet en armoire in Boulle style marquetry and imitation tortoiseshell, opening on the front with two leaves decorated with allegories of Spring and Summer in high relief on a console, against a background of plant scrolls and birds, the rounded fluted uprights resting on an imposing plinth adorned with a mask. Napoleon III period. Total dimensions: 106x126x45cm. White marble top. Rich gilded brass ornamentation (keyways, rods and escutcheon). Wear from use. Small chips to the marble. Cracks, reinforcement inside one of the doors. One rod to be refixed, hole in one rod.
