Paul GUERUEZ (XIX-XX°): Soup at the Kennel. Oil on canvas signed lower right and dated. 90 x 170cm. Accident and minor restorations. From a property in the Oise region. Paul Geruez was the brother of Victor Geruez alias Crafty, the famous author and humorous book illustrator. On several occasions, the two brothers collaborated on works or books, as is most likely the case for our painting, whose humorous scene is reminiscent of Crafty's work.
