Model 1822 light cavalry troop saber, modified 82. Brass mounting. Skirted cap with beading. Flat joint bow with control marks and number 9752. Two detached limbs join the plate. Wooden spindle covered with filigree basane (damage to leather and watermark). Curved blade with hollow sides and gutter, marked on the back with Manufacture d'armes de Chatellerault 1881, cav lege 1822. Steel scabbard marked with the same number on the strap (orange peel). Complete with canvas and leather field cover. Total length: 107 cm. France, Third Republic period.
