Fr. Second lieutenant's kepi circa 1852-68 in madder wool cap and turban with light green wool headband, turban topped with hunting horn, flat silver braid braid. Rectangular leather visor topped by a thin chinstrap held in place by two small buttons with no imprint. Black canvas interior, damaged leather sweatband. Some repairs, kepi in fair condition. (Restorations) Possibly a rare Garibaldi troop kepi.
