Officer's pistol of the House of the King. Typology similar to the 1755 models delivered in 1771. Flat-bodied flintlock lock with swan-neck hammer (jaw missing). Chased with rocaille decoration and signed AP. Double-registered barrel, then round, blackened, chased and gilded on one third and on the muzzle. Front sight. Carved walnut stock with silver trim. Long-eared cap with radiant sun motif, counterplate featuring a hunting scene and trigger guard chased with rocaille. Good mechanics. Total length: 36 cm. France, harquebusier work of the second half of the XVIIIth century.
