Gendarmerie non-commissioned officer's sword, Second Empire. Order of April 5, 1853. Cast brass mounting. Olive pommel, flat joint arc linking the plate to the eagle on a background of six pennants. Fusee with twig motifs. Folding counterplate. Straight blade with two gutters, then median ridge, oxidized and missing. Damage and missing parts. Total length: 96 cm France, Second Empire period
