Germanic light cavalry saber. Brass hunter-style mounting. Long-tailed cap, jointed bow with three detached prongs. Fine crossbow and curved quillon. Wooden buttstock covered with copper watermarked leather. Curved blade with throat, iron scabbard with two bracelets. Sting marked 255 298. Overall length: 95 cm. Probably Prussia, first third of the 19th century.
