Volunteer officer's saber. Montmorency-style brass mounting. Long-tailed lion cap. Joining arch forming the openwork plate, from which two branches detach to form the openwork shell with dog motif under two flaming grenades and antique-style trophy. Wooden spindle with alternating double copper filigree. Curved blade, hollow sides, gutter, chased (stains). Leather scabbard with three brass fittings, a few stitching accidents. Total length: 85 cm. France, circa 1792.
