CHINA, 19th century
Small covered tripod incense burner, in copper and polychrome cloisonné enamels on a black ground, decorated with various flowers, including chrysanthemums, peonies, ipomeas, the openwork lid adorned with ruyi heads.
(Slight indentation at the rim and top of the lid; grip to be refastened; slight deformation at the opening).
Total height: 16 cm.
Provenance: brought back from China by intendant-general Chayrou de Lacombe in the early 20th century, and by descent.
