René Valette (1874-1956): Veneur and his pack by the pond Oil on canvas, signed lower right 61 x 46 In a gilded stucco frame, in very good condition. This could be the crew of the Comte de Brigode, who hunted in the Saint Gobain forest at the beginning of the century, the dogs being marked "B" on the flank. Born in Sologne, René Vallette left a large number of watercolors and paintings depicting landscapes and hunting scenes.
