Uniform Knight order of Malta. Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta comprising: - Suit in red cloth, collar, lapels and cuffs in black velvet, epaulet loops in red cloth embroidered with a braid and crowns of thorns in gold thread and the Maltese Cross in white thread, gold buttons with applied silver Cross, Manufactured by Maison CONCHON Civil & Militaire, Paris 3e, 100 bd Sébastopol. - Black cloth pants with gold braid and red center stripe. - Sword-belt in velvet edged with gold braid, gilded metal buckle with crown-of-thorns motif. - Bicorne in black taupe velvet, gold braid, roundel in the Order's colors, black feathers. - Pair of black leather shoes with gilded metal ceremonial spurs engraved with a crown of thorns motif. - Pair of cream suede gloves. Once owned by Pierre Chayrou de la Combe (1908-1984). Trouser dimensions: Height 102 cm; hem 22.5 cm; waist 44 cm. Jacket dimensions: Height 86 cm; Sleeve 55 cm; Shoulder to shoulder 48 cm; Waist 48 cm.
