Privately purchased saber for discharge dress, acquired by a trooper or junior non-commissioned officer, based on the 1848 model for Prussian artillery (in 1914 Baden artillerymen carried the Prussian model), Blücher steel guard, stingray-covered handle, Very fine etched curved blade, bearing on one side the title of the 76th Feld Artillerie Regiment (5th Baden) and on the other the representation of a 77mm cannon with its caisson and mounted servants. This regiment, created in 1899, was stationed in Frei.
