Filigreed horn spindle. Straight blade with throat and T-back marked "SABRE D'OFFICIER DE CAVALERIE MOD 1896 DEUXIÈME TAILLE - MANUFACTURE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE CHATELLERAULT JUIN 1909 JH.". Iron scabbard with one strap. Total length 104.5 cm. France, Third Republic period, entry into the war. An officer's hanger is included.
