Victor de GRAILLY (1804-1887). Pastoral landscape with people and cows near a river, with mountains in the background. Oil on canvas signed lower right. Large gilded stuccoed wood frame with brass cartouche with the artist's name (Dim 58 x 79.5 cm). Pupil of landscape painter Jean Victor Bertin. Exhibited at the Salon from 1833 and won medals in 1840 and 1844. Works in numerous public collections in France and the United States, including the Musées des Beaux Arts de Rennes, oil on canvas.
