Large violin-shaped cartel in Boulle metal marquetry with flowering scrolls, topped by a child with a bird and a dog, flanked by two figures in term. The metal dial with white and blue enameled hour markers indicates the hours in Roman numerals. Beveled glass. The glass case decorated with a gilded bronze Renommée. Beautiful ormolu ornamentation of foliate scrolls on the shoulders and feet with foliate clasps. Partly Louis XV period. With winding key. (Dim.: 93 x 17 x 49 cm) (raised metal marquetry, missing enamel on the cartouche and some wear to the gilded patina. Key to front glass panel missing, panel locked.)
