Musketeer-style court sword, 18th century. Gilded brass mounting with curved motifs. Olive pommel, elypse-section joint arc joining the body knot from which the pas d'âne and two inverted quillons stand out. Concave shell. Spindle following the mounting. German-made straight blade with shuttle section and flattened edge, chased in the fifth position with interlacing and foliage. SF, oxidation. Total length: 90cm. France, Early Louis XV period, probably German work.
