                        Alexandre BIGOT (1862-1927). Bas-relief composed of three blue enameled stoneware tiles decorated with a mermaid bust and head, and two mermaid tails. Tower mark on reverse. Art Nouveau period (Tile (head): 68.5 x 68.5 x 9.5 cm - (tail): 68 x 71.5 x 9 cm and 68 x 68.5 x 8 cm).
Bibliography : 
- The January 1, 1909 issue of Art et Décoration - Revue mensuelle d'Art Moderne mentions a mermaid that appeared in the Bigot Pavilion at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. 
- The Etablissement Thermal de Vichy by architects Charles Lecoeur and Lucien Woog, built between 1899 and 1903 and adorned with enameled stoneware by Alexandre Bigot, features a similar mermaid on its façade, in keeping with the building's purpose.
