LAMPERIERE (19th century). "Valmy", gouache and wash on pape - Lot 148
LAMPERIERE (19th century). "Valmy", gouache and wash on paper, titled upper right, signed lower right (size 44x59 cm).
The Valmy is a 120-gun, three-deck vessel designed by the Paris Commission of 1824 and launched in 1847. She was designed by engineer and naval inspector general Paul-Marie Leroux (1786-1853), grandson of French naval architect Jacques-Noël Sané, to whom the fleet owes most of its vessels then in service.
