Charles BALTHAZAR in PARIS. Gilt bronze cartel with cartouches, shells and foliate scrolls, topped by a Turk carrying a parasol. Circular white enameled dial, signed, showing hours in Roman numerals and minutes in Arabic numerals. Movement signed on the plate. Louis XV period (H.: 74 cm). Provenance: SVV Denis Herbette, Doullens, sale March 24, 2013. Charles BALTHAZAR was awarded the title of Master on March 26, 1717, and his works can be found in major public and private collections.
