Japan, 17th-18th century Wakizashi with shinogi-zukuri blade, suguha hamon (barely legible), nakago with one mekugi ana, signed Fujiwara Yukinaga. Black lacquer scabbard with slightly recessed decoration of golden stylized motifs; iron tsuba with decoration of plants at the water's edge; handle laced on black same; fuchi with plant motifs, horn kashira; two menuki in the shape of eggplant and fruit. L. 51.6 cm (Minor knocks, kizu, traces of oxidation on the blade, parts of the frame dismantled). A small undismantled wakizashi is included.
