SUSSE FRERES in Paris. Pair of covered baluster-shaped cassolettes in peach blossom marble, decorated with gilt bronze gadroons and medallions depicting Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette in profile (on both sides), handles decorated with putti and garlands, resting on a pedestal with carved corners, decorated with garlands. Signed under the lids and on the necks. Work of the 19th century in the Louis XVI style (Height 46.5 cm).
