All. Bayonet saber Mle 1866 Chassepot with grooved brass grip, socket cruise and quillon to the front and hollow-sided yatagan blade engraved with Manufacture Impériale de Mutzig June 1868. Sheet steel scabbard modified by substituting a long suspension knob for the original trigger guard. Grip bayonet reused by the German army. Oxidation.
