China, Compagnie des Indes, 18th century Two pairs of porcelain and Famille Rose enamel plates, one decorated with stylized floral motifs, radiating around a central flower, the wing adorned with ruyi heads or alternating peony flowers and chrysanthemums on a spiral background; the other, octagonal, decorated with a goose among peonies, the wing adorned with flowers and stylized motifs. Diam. 23.5 cm and 21.7 cm (The black border underlining the border motifs on the first pair has been reworked, while the second pair has been cracked and chipped.)
