                        Jules LOEBNITZ (1836-1895). Vase in the form of a cornucopia supported by a glazed ceramic putto in the Della Robbia style. Engraved mark on reverse (Dim.: 38 x 29 x 17 cm) (restored rim and a few chips).
Jules Paul Loebnitz (1836-1895) launched the factory into the production of architectural ceramics, such as our frieze tiles. He participated in the creation of monuments for exhibitions (Schneider pavilion at the 1878 Universal Exhibition, door for the 1884 Central Union of Decorative Arts Exhibition), as well as private commissions such as the Printemps store and the building at 23 rue Eugène Flachat in Paris's 17th arrondissement.
